Making the case for local roads

LCRIG’s mission is to facilitate fresh thinking in innovation and collaboration, whilst also helping the highways community achieve Net Zero.

A community interest company, accredited to ISO 44001, LCRIG’s purpose is to ‘give back’, promoting collaboration that will ultimately see improved highway services, maintained to a standard that road users expect and deserve.

By joining the LCRIG you will connect with a community of like- minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.

LCRIG supports the Department for Transport to enable change using innovative techniques to help achieve savings and efficiencies. The DfT engages with LCRIG members by taking part in webinars and events and as a mechanism to gather information for things such as the allocation of grant funding.

The Transport Technology Forum is supported by the Department for Transport (DfT) and Innovate UK. It exists to give leadership, direction and support and to stimulate investment in innovation and technology solutions. LCRIG acts as the Secretariat for TTF and through funding, facilitates activities to help further enhance the reputation of the group.
